Bolivian Politician Arturo Carlos Murillo Prijicis served as minister of government from 2019 to 2020 under President Jeanine Áñez.

In May 2020, the Plurinational Legislative Assembly of Bolivia temporarily contempt senator membership and ministerial position of Murillo for his involvement in irregularly purchasing non-lethal weapons under the Government of Bolivia and the Ministry of Defense. In 2021, the Supreme Tribunal of Justice in Bolivia sentenced him to two years for forging his military service records to qualify as a mayoral candidate in 2009.

In May 2021, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested Murillo, his chief of staff, and three other associates in Florida.
