On September 4, 2025, Joseph Malanji, Zambia’s former Foreign Minister, was sentenced to four years in prison with hard labour after being convicted of corruption. He was found guilty on seven counts involving the acquisition of luxury properties and helicopters suspected to have been purchased with illicit funds.
